Privacy Policy

1. Data We Collect

Account Data

When you create a RepTribe account, we collect your email address and, optionally, a display name and profile photo. If you sign in through a third-party provider (e.g. Apple, Google), we receive the information you authorize that provider to share.

Workout Data

Exercises, sets, reps, weights, workout templates, and session history that you enter in the app. This data belongs to you.

Social Data

Partnerships, follower relationships, nudges, partner requests, and gym presence records created through the social features of the app.

Profile Photo

If you upload a profile photo, it is stored on our servers (Supabase Storage). No workout photos are uploaded or stored server-side.

Analytics & Crash Reporting

We use analytics and crash-reporting tools to improve app stability and performance. These tools do not transmit personally identifiable information.

Customer Support

If you contact us for support, we may retain the communications and any personal information you include to help resolve your issue and improve our service.

2. Your Privacy Settings

RepTribe gives you control over who can see your activity. In the app, go to Settings > Privacy > Privacy Level to choose one of three levels:

  • Everyone — Your profile and gym presence are visible to all RepTribe users.
  • Partners Only — Only your confirmed partners can see your profile and activity.
  • Hidden — You are not discoverable by other users. Existing partnerships remain active.

Your privacy level does not affect data we store — it only controls what other users can see.

3. Data Processing

Location of Servers

Your data is stored on servers operated by Supabase. Servers may be located in the European Union or other international locations.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, personal data (email, name, profile photo) is permanently removed. Workout data is anonymized — the association to your account is removed — but the workout records themselves are retained.

Children

RepTribe is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it promptly.

4. Your Rights (nFADSG)

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADSG), you have the following rights:

  • Right to information — You may request details about the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — You may request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to deletion — You may request deletion of your personal data.
  • Right to data portability — You can export your workout data at any time via Settings > Data > Export in the app.

If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you may lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) at www.edoeb.admin.ch.

5. Deleting Your Account

You can permanently delete your account from within the app:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Delete Account.
  3. Confirm your identity by re-entering your password.

Upon deletion, your personal data (email, name, profile photo) is permanently removed. Workout data is anonymized and can never be linked back to you.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. For material changes, we will notify you via in-app notice or email.
